Andon-Reid Inn is fortunate to be located in the quaint town of Waynesville, North Carolina. This great town is not only known for the scenic mountain vistas but we are inundated with fabulous artists, studios and galleries.One of the liveliest known events is Quick Draw. This is an annual benefit for the arts. Fine artists race the clock to start and complete original art in just one hour. They actually bring their studios to you! You can chat with them before the starting bell and stroll around their working stations as they create original art. It's mesmerizing to watch all different mediums at work in this arena. At the end of the hour these completed pieces plus other completed works are offered in a silent auction. Each artist then donates half or more of the auction price for art teacher grants, student scholarships and to promote the Western North Carolina area as an arts and crafts destination. It's a wonderful way to spend a Saturday night!
