Jewelry or Oven ; Challenges At Andon-Reid Inn Bed and Breakfast

August has turned out to be an incredibly busy month here at Andon-Reid Inn Bed and Breakfast. We've had Girlfriend Getaways, a wedding, an elopement, a Tribute To Julia Child dinner, which just happened to be on her birthday, many anniversaries, birthdays, golf outings and just plain old getaways. It has been so much fun. Sometimes I feel as though we are running a great big party house. In the middle of all of this my double oven took a dive. The only thing I could do with it was bake at 350 degrees. Do you have any idea how many things you bake NOT at 350 degrees? What a challenge for 3 busy weeks. That's how long it took to get the oven I wanted. I must admit that the kitchen has been an area to enter with caution. Well, my double oven was installed yesterday and I'm actually giddy. I never thought that I would be this happy about a new appliance. Before the world of Innkeeping, it might have been a piece of jewelry, a trip to some far away place or even tickets to a great Broadway show. Now it's a double oven. Priorities change and I must say I'm okay with that! Come visit us at our bed and breakfast in the Smoky Mountains and see what creation I'm baking today.
