Music is an important part of my life. It is an art form with personal interpretations. I was brought up around classical music and adore it, but jazz and bluegrass is right up there. Andon-Reid Inn Bed and Breakfast is fortunate to be only 30 minutes away from Asheville where the Diana Wortham Theater, a Western North Carolina attraction resides. On the calendar for February 20, 2010 @ 8:00PM is a wonderful ensemble called The Punch Brothers. This group consists of a mandolin, banjo, guitar, violin, and bass not your typical chamber ensemble. As the San Francisco Chronicle asks: "Why didn't someone think about mixing bluegrass, jazz and classical music together sooner? Chris Thile . . . is doing it with his new outfit, and the result is totally mind-blowing." Listen to the video and you'll see why this group is playing to sold-out crowds.
