I know Spring has arrived when the Biltmore Estate celebrates The Festival Of Flowers. Andon-Reid Inn Bed and Breakfast is only 30 minutes from this colorful happening. The estate wide event celebrates George Vanderbilt's 8,000 acres of beauty. They are celebrating the Silver Anniversary of the gardens. Not only will you see thousands of tulips in full bloom but also the opening of Antler Hill Village, a casual and relaxing new village that extends the Biltmore experience. This year, look for tulips in French-style arrangements, a recreation of the fresh flower carpet from 1985, and notice the fleur de lis pattern—a symbol of the iris, the 25th anniversary flower—in urns, containers, and pattern beds.
Enjoy the 25th Anniversary Festival Of Flowers, April 3,2010-May 16,2010 and then return to us for an evening of rest and relaxation.
