A couple of weekends ago we had a bunch of gals from Florida and North Carolina visit us for a girlfriend's getaway in our
Waynesville North Carolina lodging establishment. They had a ball! The first highlight of their weekend was to find "spa bags" in their rooms full of bath salts, lotions, candles and slippers courtesy of
Haywood County Tourism Development Authority. They had an evening of catching up with each other while enjoying cheese and crackers, popcorn, cookies and wine in our Garden Room with a glowing fire going. Friday night was Art After Dark...all the art studios and galleries, stores and restaurants stay open later than usual and Ceviches was the restaurant of choice. They loved it!
Woke up to the smell of an amazing breakfast and the next surprise... it snowed. Well the girls from Florida went crazy. They were outside making snowballs and snow angels, even threw one at me inside and I caught it! What fun! After their bellies were full off they went to
Discovery Wellness Spa, an amazing spa here in town. Facials, massage and reflexology for everyone all day long. Their previous plans were to go out to dinner Saturday night but that changed. The girls wanted to spend more time here since they were out for the day.They opted for relaxing fireside, trying out our sauna and luxuriating in the Jacuzzis. Couldn't pass this picture up. It summed up the evening... heavenly!
Of course the girls started to get hungry so we said that we would pick something up for them. Ron made a
Bocelli's pizza run and the group had dinner while lounging in their PJ's. It was sad to see everyone leave, they had a great time. We know that they will take advantage of our
North Carolina Vacation package again next year!
