Paula Deen's Kitchen, Harrah's Cherokee, Western NC

Being a Food Network junkie that I am, I have been following Paula Deen since her first show. I got so excited when I heard that as part of a huge expansion at Harrah's in Cherokee, Paula Deen's Kitchen was going to be the first restaurant to be unveiled. Fantastic! Only 40 minutes away from our bed and breakfast in Waynesville North Carolina.

Celebrity chef and self-proclaimed queen of Southern cooking has opened a full service 404-seat restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.Take a peek at the menu here.

I can't tell you the number of recipes  I use at our North Carolina bed and breakfast  that are hers. Just this morning I made a French Toast Casserole with Praline Topping. Mmmm

Next to the restaurant there is a 1,800-square-foot Paula Deen retail shop offering Paula’s cookbooks, spices and food items, cookware, logo wear and gifts.

And as Paula Deen herself said, "I couldn't think of a better mix: Southern food and casinos. It has all the ingredients for a good time."
