Appalachian Lifestyle Celebration,Waynesville North Carolina

Waynesville, North Carolina is introducing a NEW event this year named the Appalachian Lifestyle Celebration. It is a heritage themed event showcasing our mountain history.

There will be two stages featuring live entertainment throughout the day. Some of the performers will be David Holt, a four time Grammy Award winner, Josh Goforth, Grammy nominee, Michael Reno Harrell, award winning songwriter and veteran storyteller, plus the Hominey Valley Boys and Hill Country Band.

There will be storytelling, local authors, folk toys, art and craft, demonstrations and displays, old tractors and old tools. From basket making, blacksmithing, quilting, weaving, wood working, wood carving, pottery, painting, soap making, to food vendors that serve only traditional foods featuring BBQ, smoked sausage, beans, and cornbread, corn and cheese cakes, fried apple pies, kettle corn, baked goods, nuts and more. Lemonade, iced tea and water.

So learn, experience and celebrate our Appalachian history and culture in Haywood County on Main Street in Downtown Waynesville. We have one room left in our Waynesville NC bed and breakfast on Friday and Saturday night.
