North Carolina Mountain State Fair-Farm Fresh Fun!

 “Farm Fresh Fun” is this year’s theme at the NC Mountain State Fair being held at the WNC Ag Center, Fletcher, NC., only 40 minutes away from our Waynesville NC bed and breakfast.

I love going to fairs...grilled corn, cotton candy, all the exhibitions to look at and the competitions such as quilting, baking, wood carving, photography and more. Then of course you have the agriculture side of the fair. There are competitions between cattle, goats, poultry, sheep, horses and llama. Here is the link to the event schedule for that. The NC Mountain State Fair celebrates the people, agriculture, art and tradition throughout our region.

This is a great way to see what our mountain community is all about. There is entertainment everday with  music, acrobats, magic and comedy. Check here for the schedule. All in all it's great fun for everyone and then come back to our Smoky Mountain bed and breakfast, take off your shoes, settle in one of our oversized chairs with a good book and relax for the evening.
