There are two great events happening in Cherokee, NC in the beginning of June. Luckily, our Waynesville bed and breakfast is only 40 minutes away.

It is the opening night for “Unto these Hills” at the Mountainside Theater in Cherokee. This is one of the longest running outdoor dramas in the United States. It is a unique story of the Cherokee from a historical perspective. The Cherokee people continue to rewrite their place in the world based on traditional values and morals. The shows start at 8pm from June 1, 2012-August 18,2012, nightly except Sundays.

“K D Lang” will be at Harrah’s Cherokee Event Center on June 2, 2012. Enjoy the music of this Western Canadian native who launched her career with some country-rock styling and playful attitude. She has been on the music scene for 25 years and has accumulated 4 Grammy's. Saturday, June 02, 2012, showtime starts at 7:30PM  held at the Event Center at Harrah's Cherokee.

During the day explore the Smoky Mountains, hike along the Blue Ridge Parkway, or drive through the waterfalls. In the evening take advantage of the above events going on. Just remember that using Andon-Reid Inn Bed and Breakfast as your central focal point will get you to all the right attractions in the area.
